"Developing Competececes of professionals in museums in Trakia Tourism Region" project, under the KA210 ADU Erasmus+ Program has brought to Italy twenty directors and experts from eleven museums in the Thracian Tourist Region (Bulgaria) studied the experience of various tourist sites and institutions in northern Italy responsible for their preservation and maintenance.

Their objectives were multifaceted: they observed real working environments in the Piedmont and Lombardy regions, visiting museums and landmarks of different types and sizes. They analyzed the technological solutions applied, communication and presentation methods of the sites and exhibitions, as well as the stakeholders they collaborated with. Additionally, they discussed existing joint initiatives, evaluating their feasibility for implementation in the Thracian Tourist Region.

The implementation of these activities enabled experts to identify best practices from their Italian counterparts and assess which of them could be applied in their own institutions. Museum professionals also had the opportunity to establish collaborations, develop joint projects, and create professional networks.
