The "Culinary Arts in Italy" project, part of the KA1 VET Erasmus+ initiative, has seen the aspiring master chefs from the Professional School for Tourism “Al. Paskalev” in Haskovo, Bulgaria, embark on an enriching study journey to Castelletto Ticino. Associazione Most is thrilled to highlight their culinary adventures.
The students from Haskovo demonstrated remarkable skill and enthusiasm during their studies in Italy. They were commended for their exceptional performance, showing promise as future master chefs. This educational journey was not just about learning recipes; it was an opportunity to immerse themselves in the depth and diversity of Italian cuisine.
A notable day was when the students faced a delicious challenge with risotto. They prepared various flavours - porcini mushroom, a rich cheese blend, and seafood - each risotto dish bursting with authentic Italian taste. However, the highlight of the day was the competition against the “Crostata Bella Elena.” The chocolate ganache of this exquisite tart was rigorously "quality checked" by everyone, playfully underscoring the importance of tasting before serving to customers.
This experience emphasized the importance of balancing flavours and textures, an essential skill in culinary arts. The student’s ability to create such diverse and delicious dishes showcases their growing mastery under the tutelage of Italian chefs.
