The "Healthy cooking in European cuisines" project, involving students from the Sunny Beach Professional School for Tourism “Ivan Vazov”, has been a journey of culinary discovery and skill-building. This article highlights their enriching experiences.
During their two-week stay, the students immersed themselves in the culinary arts of Castelletto. They tossed the dice of curiosity, tasting local delicacies and learning from culinary masters. Heartfelt thanks go to Pasticceria ALE, Circolo Castelletto, and Stella Scibilia for nurturing these future chefs with knowledge and inspiration.
The art of pizza making, as taught by Filippo and Mattia from Circolo Castelletto, was a revelation. Students learned that crafting a delicious pizza requires more than just ingredients; it demands finesse, patience, and a deep love for the craft. This experience underscored the importance of passion in cooking, a vital ingredient for any successful chef.
A special session with Stella Scibilia introduced the students to the art of making fresh pasta. This wasn't just a lesson in culinary technique; it was a celebration of the joy and camaraderie found in cooking together. As Stella discovered, making pasta is more fun with company, although eating it is enjoyable in any setting!
Through these experiences, the students from the Professional School for Tourism “Ivan Vazov” have not only enhanced their culinary skills but also embraced the essence of European cuisines, focusing on healthy and joyful cooking. This project goes beyond learning recipes; it's about understanding the culture and passion behind Europe's diverse culinary traditions.
